The list of the disadvantages can go lengthier than the advantage list. Free hosting service is for those who hardly care about their website and are creating one just for the sake of it. The reason why can be explained perfectly if you have a look at the disadvantages from a free hosting company.

Free websites are also useful in sharing web content among groups having similar interests but not able to spend money for one reason or the other. By posting useful information and providing mutual links these sites may gain search engine visibility as well.
